Organization use Proxies in their network for a number of reasons such as filtration of web content, to go around restrictions, to screen downloads and uploads and to provide anonymity when surfing the internet and last but not least to provide a layer of security within the Organization.
Leaptest has special setting which enables its user to create and run tests in proxy enabled networks, below screenshot shows proxy configuration options available in Leaptest. User can navigate to proxy settings by navigating to Settings > Proxy Settings -> Proxy type for web Cases.
|No Proxy||Is default, and it means Leaptest will not use (disable) any proxy|
|Automatic detection||Organization with automatic proxy detection mechanism should choose this option|
|Automatic URL||Enter proxy server URL used in your organization in text box|
|Manual Settings||Enter HTTP and HTTPS proxy used in your organization in text box|
In case user proxy requires login using credentials stored in Windows Credentials Manager, then this can be achieve by:
- Open “C:\Program Files\LEAPTEST\Studio\LeapTest.AutomationStudio.exe.config”
- Add this block inside configuration section:
<defaultProxy enabled=”true” useDefaultCredentials=”true”>
<proxy usesystemdefault=”True” />
